Saturday, 6 October, 2007 - The second running of the Craftsman Truck Series at Talladega.  The event this year is the Mountain Dew 250
We arrive early in the morning so as to have the opportunity to visit all the vendors and displays
As our good fortune would have it, we find Michael Waltrip at the Michael Waltrip Racing souvenir trailer signing autographs.  We captured his photo while he signed this hat for us.
We get our photo taken with the #8 and #9 cars.  Next year the #8 will be sponsored by US Army, and the Budweiser Logo will move over to the #9 car.  Although Dale Jr. will no longer drive the #8, Kasey Kahne will still be at the wheel of the #9.
Next we headed for the stands to watch the Nextel Cup cars qualify for Sundays UAW 500
Last car to qualify was Jeff Gordon.  Michael Waltrip put the #55 NAPA Toyota on the pole.
As the crew pushes the #55 Cup car back to the garage, the Craftsman Series Trucks are pushed out to Pit Road
From my seat, this is my view of turn 4 and the tri-oval headed to turn 1
An early wreck sends the #7 to the garage.  Johnny Benson's #23 on Pit Road.
Here's more wreckage as the Trucks do plenty of bumping and banging at nearly 200 mph!
In the end, It's Todd Bodine who survives and brings his #30 Truck on a Victory Lap.
